FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, particularly, methods of production of copper-phosphorus composition used in production of alloys, deoxidizers and solders. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading of red phosphorus onto bottom of melting crucible and copper wastes to cover it, isolation of crucible from ambient atmosphere, heating, holding and casting into ingot mold. Copper wastes are preliminarily subjected to oxidizing roasting and pressing to provide for shape and size of briquettes close to shape and size of melting crucible. Briquettes are placed in stack into crucible and temperature is raised in crucible at rate of 15-20 C per min.
