METHOD OF INSTALLING CEMENT BRIDGING PLUG IN WELL WITH OPENED PERFORATION INTERVAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: gas production industry, particularly, installation of isolating cement bridging plugs in wells with help of coltubing technique under conditions of tubing string shoe location above interval of waterflooding. SUBSTANCE: method provides for installation of cement bridging plug in well with opened perforation interval and includes running of long inserted-joint pipe into nonkilled well for injection and forcing of cement mortar without withdrawal of downhole equipment. Injection of the last 0.2-0.3 cu.m of cement mortar is carried out at rate of 2-3 l/s with simultaneous lifting of long inserted-joint pipe. Completion of cement mortar forcing from long inserted-joint pipe coincides with lift of long inserted-joint pipe up to upper elevation of cement bridging plug. EFFECT: higher efficiency of installation of isolating cement bridging plugs in well without its killing and withdrawal of downhole equipment.
