METHOD FOR TREATING CHRONIC LESIONS OF SYMPHYSIS AND SACROILIAC ARTICULATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, orthopedics, traumatology. SUBSTANCE: operative treatment should be divided into three stages. At the first stage, it is necessary to remove the shift of pelvic half ring and approach pubic bones in apparatus for external fixation at the tempo of 5 mm daily, not higher for 7±2 d. At the second stage, one should perform stabilization of sacroiliac articulation, by not removing the above-mentioned apparatus, due to osseous- plastic operation. The third stage comes 14 d later - osseous-plastic stabilization of symphysis. Patients are allowed to have some loading as walking immediately the first stage is over. It is recommended to wear leathery pelvic bandage for one year after removal of the apparatus suggested. The present method enables to restore anatomical structures of pelvic ring and decrease traumaticity level. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 4 dwg
