FIELD: shipbuilding; building high-speed ships running in planing modes which are equipped with set of automatically controllable interceptors. SUBSTANCE: ship has hull with bilge and bottom planing step changing to side planing step on bilge at height reducing to zero above at-rest waterline. Mounted behind planing step flush with bottom are automatically controllable interceptors. Vertical stabilizer profiled along flow is mounted on bottom before fore interceptors. Model and full-scale tests have demonstrated that power requirement may be reduced by approximately 15% and maximum running speed may be increased by 7% at running of ship on straight course at relative velocities of Fr≥3,5 at velocity of beam cross wind of 6 to 10 m/s. Resistance to motion is reduced and running speed is increased at magnitudes corresponding to Froude numbers of Fr≥3,5.. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
