FIELD: manufacture of composite materials used for machining attachments in preparation of hyper-pure elements and agents. SUBSTANCE: starting components are cleaned and vapor-and-gas mixture of carbon and hydrogen compounds is delivered to reactor. This mixture is decomposed on heated surface and decomposition products thus formed and unreacted agents are removed. They are separated by fractional condensation and recirculation of starting components is effected. Coats are obtained by successive alternation of processes of sedimentation of layers of pyrocarbon and silicon carbide. Sedimentation is effected on surface of articles in one apparatus and one and the same temperature of sedimentation surface.
