FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: process is meant for application under complex geological and technical conditions of development of permafrost rock mass under extreme conditions of the North. Process of development of deep stripping is implemented by way of separation of thickness of permafrost rocks into benches with hard and soft bases. Benches with hard bases are developed in summer season and benches with soft bases are worked in winter season. Flooded horizons in zone under permafrost layer are developed with spacing cavitation of sections of stripped field. Further development of stripping is carried out by formation of pillar between developed sections and by driving of tunnel in it for bypass of overburden rock in process of its dumping. Holes blown through with cold air, intended for freezing and preservation of stability of thawed rocks in zone of permafrost layer are drilled in pillar and in flanks of stripping. EFFECT: reduced labor input to development and improved operation conditions for mining and transport equipment while developing permafrost rocks. 6 dwg, 2 tbl
