FIELD: synthesis of lithium-cobalt oxides used as cathode materials in lithium-ionic storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: process of synthesis of active cathode material for lithium- ionic storage cells includes extraction of lithium and cobalt from aqueous solutions by means of concentrate of alpha-branched monocarbonic acids. Novelty of invention lies in mixture of extracts carrying lithium and cobalt with mole ratio 1:1 of metals, in driving-off of excess of monocarbonic acids at 265-275 C and in pyrolysis of still bottoms of carboxylates of lithium and cobalt at temperature of 500-550 C in the course of 1.5-4.0 h. Cinder is then cooled with rate of 5.8 degree/min to ensure winning of lithium-cobalt spinel displaying high electrochemical characteristics. EFFECT: diminished temperature of synthesis, reduced cost of process. 1 cl, 1 tbl
