FIELD: electronics; producing thin films of active lithium cobaltate used as cathodic material in lithium-ionic thin-film batteries.
SUBSTANCE: proposed low-temperature method includes extraction of lithium and cobalt from aqueous solutions by concentrate of α-branched monocarboxylic acids, mixing of Li and Co extracts in molar metal ratio of 1 : 1. Novelty is that lithium cobaltate films are produced on current-conducting substrates such as those made of copper or aluminum foil wetted many times by dipping in solution of mixed up lithium and cobalt carboxylates followed by baking for 2 - 3 minutes; desired thickness of film is obtained in several cycles of wetting and baking, and also by controlling lithium and cobalt concentration in mixture of their carboxylates in strict molar ratio 1 : 1 of these metals; synthesis of lithium cobaltate and film formation take place simultaneously.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure, enhanced charge-discharge voltage and specific power of electrodes built around these films.
