FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing electrode probe into the esophagus. The stimulating and indifferent electrode poles are preliminarily separated to 29 mm. The electrode is introduced into the esophagus to the depth of 37-40 cm. The electrode probe is connected to electrostimulator device, the proximal (stimulating) electrode being connected to the cathode and the distal one (indifferent) to the anode. Pulsation frequency is selected for achieving alleviation gradually reducing distance separating the electrode poles. Pulsating volleys are sent from cardiostimulant device with different interelectrode distances until the desired effect like transformation of atrial flutter to atrial fibrillation or to sinusoid rhythm is achieved or until the poles meet each other or stopping treatment due to no effect being achieved. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 2 dwg
