SUBSTANCE: proposed energy absorbing part of automobile body has floor panel 4, side longitudinal beams 1 rigidly connected with cross beam 2 being one of supports for bumper 3 and having, at least in central zone, closed cross-section. Cross beam 2 is located opposite to end face surfaces 8 of end parts 9 of side longitudinal beams 1 and is provided with two boxshaped reinforcement members 5 and 6 arranged opposite to each other in central zone. Reinforcement member 5 is placed in inner space Z of cross beams 2. Reinforcement member 6 is located at side of number 3 on outer surface of cross beam 2.
