FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: sectional assembly ship has sections of ship being built and section of engine room, for example, cut out of another ship. Connection of sections is performed through forming double side: inner side is inner plating of engine room section and outer side is made according to lines of ship being built. Connection of sections may be performed through forming double bottom; it is good practice to mount bottom of engine room section on framing members of ship being built. Proposed method decreases time and cost for mounting and dismantling equipment of power plant. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; reduction of assembly time and low cost. 2 cl, 4 dwg
