FIELD: microbiology, peptide antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes novel strain of bacterium Staphylococcus warneri IEGM KL-1 (strain is deposited in collection of GNIISKMBP named by Tarasevitch at number 260) that is able to produce in growth in medium LB a low-molecular peptide compound inhibiting development of gram-positive microorganisms of different genera and families. This factor produced by the strain and acting on microorganisms exhibits peptide structure, its molecular mass is less 300 Da. Its inhibitory activity retains after 3-fold boiling for 10 min. The strain provides high level of accumulation of antibacterial peptide and can be used as source for preparing antibiotic of new generation. EFFECT: valuable antibacterial properties of peptide compound. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 ex
