FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: method envisages extraction of chips with water containing more than 30 mg/l salts at water-to-chips ratio (1.1-1.5):1. Extraction is carried out during 30 to 75 min to give diffusion juice. The latter is cooled and subjected to multistage ultrafiltration diluting concentrate between stages with above-indicated water at dilution factor 1.1- 1.7. Ultrafiltrates obtained in each stage are combined and the combined filtrate is softened, concentrated by reverse- osmosis technique until content of solids attains 25-40%, and then evaporated to 55-70%. EFFECT: reduced loss of saccharose, improved quality of syrup, and reduced process expenses. 1 dwg
