TYRE FORMING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: tyre industry; production of pneumatic tyre casings. SUBSTANCE: tyre forming machine contains forming drum with central part arranged on axial central seat and right-hand and left-hand parts arranged at right-hand and left-hand sides from central part for axial displacement. Right-hand and left-hand parts are made for engagement with central part to form joint continuous surface for winding tyre forming materials around drum for assembling the carcass. Left-hand and right-hand parts are made for shifting into corresponding positions for fitting the beads and opening the drum after assembling of carcass. Tyre forming machine contains large- number of holding mechanisms located around central axis of forming drum for displacement and holding of axial central part of carcass. Holding mechanisms are provided with holding members paced relative to each other circumferentially for radial displacement relative to center of forming drum central part. Each holding member is provided with front end made in form of round arc corresponding to peripheral surface of central part of forming drum. Machine includes also devices for fitting the beads which are provided for forming drum and are furnished with corresponding frames. Holding mechanisms are installed on one of said frames.
