FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: catalytic tube assessment method for natural gas reformer consists in measuring temperature for multitude of catalytic tubes (stage S1). Then assessed samples (stage S2) are selected on the basis of temperature measurement. Then swelling degree is evaluated for short elements and outputs (stage S3) comprising catalytic tubes selected as assessed samples. At that, when swelling degree of the catalytic tube body is less than the reference value (identified in stage S7) and value obtained by eddy-current testing (in stage S8) is less than the reference value residual life of the catalytic tube is assessed by replica technique (stages S9-S14).
EFFECT: developed method of catalytic tube assessment method for natural gas reformer that provides relatively simple assessment of residual life for all catalytic tubes consisting of main bodies, short elements and outputs.
