FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: according to said method, in baseplate consisting of metal base 1 and switch pad with support surface 5 for movable rail arranged over slot 4 for accommodating fixed rail, slot 4 is formed for accommodating foot of fixed rail and part of support surface 5 located over slot 4 by incomplete separation of part of base material by shifting and stamping of required configuration from said part of base material, and the rest of support surface 5 of switch pad is formed by drawing from material of base 1. Simultaneously with forming the rest of part of switch pad support surface 5 by drawing from base material, incomplete separation of part of base 1 adjoining side surface of switch pad under forming is carried out by shifting and then projections on side surface of switch pad for rail fastener are formed on side surface of switch pad by stamping.
