FIELD: construction engineering; construction of buildings in regions dangerous from seismic standpoint. SUBSTANCE: multistorey earthquake-proof building including upper spatially rigid storeys formed by pillars, cross-bars, floors, wall panels and ground or basement storey made from cruciform uprights possessing property of recovering standing position; they are formed by pair of panels with rounded-off upper and lower faces; one face has slot; they are interconnected by inserting slot of one of them into slot of another; members of lower and upper framework perform function of foundation bearers; members of upper framework which are part of ground basement storey have grooves. Cruciform uprights possessing property of recovering standing position are made for swinging during earthquake over said grooves and rounded-off faces have varying curvature which excludes considerable horizontal displacement acting on building.
