FIELD: oil and gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: drive contains frame with engine mounted on frame. Mechanism to convert rotation into reciprocating motion includes drive pulley and curvilinear guide member with constant radius of curvature. Counterweight is made sectional, consisting of main one, normalizing operation of pump drive, and additional one. Additional counterweights are made for arrangement symmetrically relative to axis of symmetry of plane of flexible continuous member on main counterweight. Summary center of gravity is located close to said plane. Flexible member coupling counterweight with string of sucker rods is installed with formation of even number of parallel branches. Units of connection of branches of flexible member and counterweight are located in pairs symmetrically relative to axis of symmetry of flexible member outside the limits of its outline. Units of connection of flexible member with counterweight and with sucker rod suspension unit are made to provide equal tension of all branches of flexible member. Frame is furnished with wheels and additional drive to provide its fixing relative to base in any position. Wheels are installed for engagement with guides. Frame can be made sectional. It consists of main frame furnished with wheels and additional drive installed on base provided with guides and stops for forced displacement in horizontal plane limited by stops and cone angle relative to vertical axis. Wheels are installed for engagement with guides. Additional frame is connected with main frame for displacement in direction of axis of symmetry of contour of flexible continuous member passing through driving and curvilinear guide members of converting mechanism. Connection provides possibility of fixing additional frame relative to main frame in any position.
