CUCURBITACEOUS FRUIT PICKUP Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: pickup mobile frame, inclined tray and endless conveyor, both mounted on frame. Fingers with widened ends are pivotally fixed on conveyor at pitch approximating size of smallest fruit. Pickup is further provided with bus and blades contacting with bus. Blades are formed of straps and opposed fingers. Each finger is made L-shaped and is formed from thin-walled pipe. Widened spherical parts are formed on lower cuts of vertical portions of fingers. Group of straps are positioned above spherical parts for discrete displacement along vertical part of fingers and pair of parts for pivotal joining with conveyor runs. Roller bearings are positioned on horizontal parts of fingers in mutually spaced relation and connected to bus. Ends of horizontal parts of each pair of fingers are fixed by means of coupling. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced losses and decreased damage to fruit during harvesting thereof. 8 cl, 18 dwg
