FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to low-fluorine manganese concentrate used in production of high-quality manganese alloys and compounds, in direct steel alloying, and also for coating welding electrodes. Concentrate contains manganese, calcium, magnesium, and silicon compounds as well as iron, phosphorus, chlorine, and moisture. Chloride ion is in the form of mixture of chlorine-containing compounds Mn(OH)2OHCl+CaCl2. Proportions of constituents are the following, wt %: calcium (as oxide) 6.5-20, magnesium (as oxide) 4.5-9, silicon (as oxide) 0.5-1.5, iron from traces to 0.5, phosphorus 0.01-0.05, chloride ion 0.1-2.5, moisture from traces to 5, manganese (as oxide) - the balance. Concentrate is in the form of granules with diameter-to-length ratio 1:(0.25- 10).
