FIELD: antifriction materials. SUBSTANCE: material contains, wt %: phosphorus 0.33-1.35, iron 11.08- 30.30, graphite 0.16-5.16, granules 2.0- 24.0, and copper the rest. Material is made in the form of sintered powders with locally included graphite-based granules, the latter being 0.4-1.6 mm in size and containing 14.0-37.0% copper and additionally 0.01-23.0% molybdenum disulfide. Material is prepared via granulation of molybdenum disulfide, copper, and graphite powder mixture, followed by mixing granules with phosphorus, iron, copper, and graphite powders. Resulting blend is then molded and sintered. Invention also describes friction unit with above-baked layer of the proposed antifriction material. EFFECT: increased mechanical strength, wear resistance, lowered friction coefficient, and imparted capability of forming separating surface films preventing wear of contacting pair. 9 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
