FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of a sintered friction material. Method is proposed comprising granulating powders of graphite and copper to produce granules of 0.4–2.0 mm in size, containing copper and graphite, mixing the granules with a second mixture of powders to produce a charge, forming and sintering the resulting charge. Second mixture of powders is prepared from powders of iron, copper hardened with chromium cast iron, solid lubricant, reinforcing-alloying elements, fibers and threads of carbon and granite concentrate powder. Mixing of the granules with the second mixture of powders is carried out at a ratio of granules and a second powder mixture of 1:50–1:3. Friction element made in the form of a carrier element with a working layer of sintered friction material is also proposed.
EFFECT: provides increased mechanical strength, wear resistance and increased coefficient of friction.
