FIELD: protracted protection of metal surfaces against atmospheric corrosion. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes spraying of metal powder on surface to be protected in form of porous layer and impregnation of this layer with corrosion inhibitor. Metal of protected surface may be copper or copper alloy (bronze or brass); metal sprayed on surface to be protected is of the same composition as metal of article. It may zinc and metal of surface to be protected may be steel or cast iron. Layer of material ensuring barrier protection , for example film of polymer coat may be additionally applied on sprayed layer of power impregnated with corrosion inhibitor. In the course of spraying, at least partial oxidation of particles of powder may be performed for forming patina possessing protective and decorative properties.
