FIELD: construction and running of roads. SUBSTANCE: individual beams of laser radiation are sent in process of automobile running on to surface of pavement in transverse direction, these beams are converted to uninterrupted line, reflected linear radiation is received by optical detectors and reflected linear radiation is converted to analog signals corresponding to profile of road. Parts corresponding to individual components of reflected radiation are isolated by means of comparator from analog signals and later they are converted to TTL level. Processor synchronizes and sums up individual analog signals in specified time intervals and determines parameters of cross-section of road in the form of coordinates of its points with preset measurement spacing with the help of computer by specified programs. Vibrations of automobile body in process of its running are corrected. EFFECT: increased authenticity and accuracy of measured parameters, simple handling of device. 2 cl, 4 dwg
