FIELD: road illumination.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for measuring the distribution of illumination of the road surface on the road. The road illumination readings are measured by a pair of spaced apart photo heads (1) placed on a mobile vehicle (13). One of the photo heads (1) of the devices is placed in front of the mobile vehicle (13), the other photo head (1) is placed behind the mobile vehicle (13). The signals generated by the photohead (1) are amplified by a multirange photocurrent amplifier (3). The amplified signal is digitized by an analog-to-digital converter (4). The digitized signals are transmitted and recorded in the storage device of the multichannel photometer (9) in the form of illumination values. At the same time, the illumination value at a specific point on the road is determined based on the summation of the readings measured by each pair of photo heads (1) at the same point on the road. The coordinates of a specific point on the road are determined using a device for measuring speed and distance traveled. An automated complex is also proposed for measuring the distribution of illumination of the road surface on highways.
EFFECT: increased speed, quality and reliability of measurements of pavement lighting parameters.
