FIELD: electrical engineering; selfpropelled vehicles, sea-going ships, and various systems using mechanical energy for their functioning. SUBSTANCE: proposed unipolar electrochemical motor has inductor, armature in the form of pair of electricity conducting disks fixed in position on shaft between inductor pole pairs in working gaps forming spaces filled with electrolyte; one disk of this pair is covered with layer of cathode material and installed between pole pairs with magnetic flux of one direction, its respective inductor surfaces being covered with layer of anode material; other disk is covered with layer of anode material and installed between pole pairs with magnetic flux of reverse direction, its respective inductor surfaces being covered with layer of cathode material. Cathode and anode surfaces of inductor are electrically interconnected and so are surfaces of disks. Novelty is that inductor is made of at least two insulated sections of which one has cathode material surfaces and other section, anode material surfaces, anode and cathode surfaces being electrically interconnected through regulating member. EFFECT: provision for controlling motor speed by varying armature circuit current. 2 cl, 1 dwg
