FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture and repair of overspring beams of freight car bogies. In step bearing unit of car bogie step bearing place is cylindrical cavity in overspring beam with outer and inner ring beads central hole for pivot and wear resistant insert. Said wear resistant insert is made in form of plate with flat support surface with hole coaxial with hole for pivot, and cylindrical thrust surface, plate being interference fitted inside outer bead. Inner bead is made on insert around its central hole. Diameter of central hole in insert exceeds diameter of hole for pivot in overspring beams. EFFECT: increased service life and improved repairability of bogie step bearing unit. 3 dwg
