FIELD: railway road transport, namely restoration of over-spring beams of car trucks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of hot fitting of wear resistant insert in bored out site (for center plate) heated until temperature no less than 250 C while taking into account interference fit value and at jamming insert between walls of outer shoulder; boring out supporting and resting surfaces of site for center plate according to maximum wear size measured relative to nominal dimension and not exceeding its rejection value; then heating center plate for hot fitting at surfacing outer face of outer shoulder until diameter no less than 1.1 of its nominal size; placing in site for center plate insert made in the form of equal-wall disc whose outer diameter exceeds that of bored out surface of outer shoulder by interference fit value after cooling center plate.
