SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture and reconditioning of overspring beams of freight car bogies. Insert of bogie center plate of overspring beam has support plane 1 with central hole mating with thrust ring bead 2. outer surface of thrust bead is made cylindrical at top, of height not less than 1/3 of depth of bogie center plate 3 of overspring beam, with conical section below, whose taper is equal to taper of inner surface of thrust bead, and it is mated with support surface of inset whose radius exceeds radius of mating of surfaces of center plate bored to receive insert. Inner thrust surface of insert has taper not less than half of value of negative allowance between walls of outer bead of bogie center plate and not greater than taper of thrust surface of pivot bearing interacting with insert.

EFFECT: improved repairability of bogie center plate unit.
