FIELD: pest control during storage and transportation. SUBSTANCE: method involves hermetically sealing room; treating food product by spraying it with active substance in the form of aerosol; prior to treating food product with aerosol spray, blowing room through for creating finely-dispersed dust suspension in air; saturating air and food product with aerosol generated by "hot" fog generator for 6-12 hours, with following exposure for 1-3 hours and ventilating room; treating room with "cold" fog generated by "cold" fog generator at moisture content of air not in the excess of 80%. Size of drops created in the process of spraying of aerosol by "cold" fog generator is 50-70 micron and of drops or "hot" fog 1-50 micron. Active substance may be Carbophos, Phuphanon, Actellic, Arribo, Cymbush or Cypecryl. Method allows food products such as grain, groats, dry vegetables etc to be effectively protected from pests during storage or transportation by sea, river and railway transport.
