FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining geometric vein patterns by applying magnetic resonance venography method. Two-dimensional passage time angiography method is applied. Variant is selected when the left internal jugular vein diameter is greater than or close to that of the right internal jugular vein and both nameless veins enter the superior vena cava at angles close to each other relative to its axis. This anatomic pattern is related to lack of thrombus formation predisposition. Other variants involve additionally determining hemodynamic values of the right and left internal jugular vein by applying ultrasonic duplex scanning. Volume discharge rate and linear blood circulation rate on the left side being found by 40% or more lower than that on the right, the cerebral venous collector under study is evaluated as one of thrombosis risk. EFFECT: high reliability of prognosis; available pathogenic changes prediction scale. 1 dwg
