FIELD: veterinary surgery. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation could be applied in wide veterinary practice at restoration of medial lateral ligament of knee cap in dogs. It requires an access to knee cap capsule, knee cap fixation in anatomically correct position with the help of silk cords, process of plastic suturing the wall of its articular capsule by forming the similarity of damaged ligament; moreover, cords are fixed with their one end to tendinous part of quadriceps muscle and rectus ligament of knee cap, and with other ends - to pectineal muscle tendon. The method provides quick restoration of knee joint function due to own tissues without usage of transplants and implants and prolonged immobilization of knee joint.
