METHOD FOR SURGICALLY CORRECTING MEDIAL DISLOCATION OF KNEECAP IN DECORATIVE DOGS WITH THE USE OF PARTIAL OSTEOTOMY AND TRANSPOSITION OF TIBIAL CREST IN ANATOMICALLY CORRECT ARRANGEMENT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61D1/00 A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2745652 C1

FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, in particular to veterinary surgery and animal arthrology, and can be used for surgically correcting the medial dislocation of a kneecap in decorative dogs. A partial osteotomy of the tibial crest is performed in 2 mm from its base up to the caudal edge of the attachment point of the straight ligament of the kneecap. The crest is then shifted on the projection of the anatomical axis of the knee joint and fixed by two repeater spokes of 0.8-1.2 mm. One spoke is inserted into the tibial body on the side of the medial edge of the tibial crest and the other in the top of the crest in such a way that it passes through it and the bone to be examined.

EFFECT: method enables reducing bone healing time and the number of complications by using partial osteotomy, and also enables reducing the number and volume of implants and, as a result, the number of complications related to their rejection through the use of repeater spokes, which eliminates the need to use the sulphur wire to tighten the cracks and create compression.
