FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of mineral cotton, particularly, to repair of vertical-centrifugal centrifuges, namely, to repair of rolls by surfacing. Repair comprises removal of the roll worn-out working surface by lather and application of stainless steel coating by hard-surfacing. Hard-surfacing is executed at a time with roll cooling from inside since hard-surfacing without cooling causes accumulation of excessive amount of residual strain. Then, the roll is turned at lathe so that working surface is regular. Now, it is sintered at 1000-1200°C for 12 hours for final removal of residual strain.
EFFECT: simplified repair, higher hardness of reconditioned part, roll longer life.
