FIELD: application of polymeric coatings on metallic base, possibly in industry branch for making cans. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating metallic base until temperature in range 70 - 150 C; in first installation applying upon one side of base coating by process of combined extrusion at oxygen presence, base sheet and melt sheet having polyolefin layer and adhesion layer of modified polyolefin; forcing adhesion layer to base surface; moving strip into second installation at such speed that to keep temperature of strip before coating applying in range 70 -130 C; applying upon other side of base coating in the form of melt sheet by extrusion process at ozone presence; heating coated base until temperature exceeding temperature of polyolefin melting and cooling it. In second variant of invention polyester is used as material applied in first installation by one or several layers; in second installation sheet having upper polyolefin layer and adhesion layer of modified polyolefin is used.
