METHOD FOR RAISING STURGEON FISHES AT MULTIPLE YIELD OF ROE UNDER CAPTIVITY CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: industrial pisciculture. SUBSTANCE: the innovation deals with year-round raising and keeping maternal sturgeon stocks in reservoirs with closed water supply system and regulated environmental conditions for extra-season, multiple yield of roe during a year. In raising and inter-spawning periods maternal sturgeon fishes are kept at 15-28 C for 120-180 d followed by water temperature decrease in adaptation period for 2-15 d up to working temperature ranged 4-12 C corresponding to the second main period of piscicultural process - keeping at 30-60 d. In pre-spawning period and at obtaining the roe working water temperature should be ranged 12-20 C for 1-2 d. Moreover, one or two adaptation periods are used at temperature increase. Depending upon the type of sturgeon fishes, water temperature should be increased for 2-15 d from working temperature corresponding to fish raising in the second main period up to working water temperature corresponding to fish raising in the third main period, and/or from working water temperature in the third main period up to working water temperature in the first main period. The innovation enables to raise sturgeon fishes despite natural climatic conditions and season time under any conditions, urban being among them.
