FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fish farming, namely to breeding and cultivation of sterlet in installations with a closed cycle of water supply and can be used for year-round production of caviar for food purposes from female starlet, operated in a mode of polycycle. The structure of the followers-broodstock of the 4 groups is formed. Each group is brought to the artificial hibernation mode in terms consistently spaced for 3 months so that when they reach the age of maturity in all groups the followers-broodstock is generally capable of producing mature eggs on a quarterly basis. In the period of artificial hibernation a stable water temperature of 8-10°C is maintained. In the fourth year of growing in a period of artificial hibernation in each group the gender identity of fish and the index of polarisation efficiency in females is determined. The subsequent injection of the females is carried out. Females with the magnitude of the polarisation efficiency from 0.05 to 0.10 are injected at a temperature of 10-12°C, females with the magnitude of the polarisation efficiency from 0.11 to 0.14 prior to injection are kept up to 30 days at a temperature of spawning of 10-12 °C, the females with the magnitude of the polarisation efficiency from 0.15 to 0.18 prior to injection are kept up to 60 days at a temperature of spawning of 10-14 °C. Raising the temperature of water in the injection period is performed on the value of 1-3 °C with a gradient of 1°C per day.

EFFECT: complete utilisation of the production capacity for preparation of black caviar throughout the year, on a quarterly basis, in equivalent batches is ensured.
