The composition comprises pyranone compound as active pharmaceutical agent that is inhibitor of retroviral protease, mixture of diglyceride and monoglyceride taken in the ratio from about 9:1 to about 6:4 (diglyceride : monoglyceride) where diglyceride and monoglyceride are esters of mono- or diunsaturated fatty acids and glycerol with chain length 16-22 carbon atoms, one or some pharmaceutically acceptable solvents and one or some pharmaceutically acceptable surface-active substances. This composition is prepared as self-emulsifying composition that provides high concentration and high oral availability of pyranone lipophilic compounds.
