FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves stage A of supplying molten material to pelletizing zone of pelletizing vessel; stage B of providing contacting of molten material with sufficient amount of water; adjusting water pH in the range of from neutral value to sub-basic value so that molten material supplied to pelletizing zone is converted into pelletized material, which is accompanied with phreatic gas blasts that do not cause damage to pelletizing vessel; stage C of accumulating pelletized material in settling zone of pelletizing vessel; stage D of catching gas outbursts from pelletizing vessel and converting such outbursts into form allowable for discharge into environment; stage E of withdrawing from pelletized material water remained after B stage; converting withdrawn water into form adaptable for utilization in the process of stage B and directing withdrawn water to stage B; stage F of removing pelletized material from settling zone of pelletizing vessel by means of removal device having adjustable position; stage G of discharging spilled material from pelletizing zone.
