FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: tuyere 5 has inlet opening 21 for introducing raw material therein, outlet opening 23 formed in front end of tuyere 5 and adapted for discharge of raw materials, hollow elongated member 25 defining raw material channel 33 positioned between inlet opening 21 and outlet opening 23 and including at least two channels for first coolant, and outer cooling jacket 35 extending up to tuyere front end. Cooling jacket 35 is closed at its front end to form annular chamber for second coolant. Hollow elongated member protrudes beyond outer jacket near tuyere front end. Coolant channel remotest from center is made in the form of annular gap between outer wall of hollow elongated member and inner wall of outer jacket and is provided with device for supporting hollow elongated member so that it may be moved relative to outer jacket lengthwise of tuyere to keep outer jacket and hollow elongated member in their initial relative positions in the vicinity of tuyere front end. Method for introducing solid raw materials into metallurgical vessel involves using said tuyere. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased service life of tuyere. 12 cl, 2 dwg
