FIELD: devices for utilization of medical wastes, syringe needles in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing with thermal unit inside it and treatment chamber isolated from surrounding medium by filter element and provided with seat for delivery of utilization object to heat treatment zone, as well as automatic control system. Thermal unit includes step-down power transformer connected with electric power supply source; outputs of secondary winding of said transformer are electrically connected with working electrodes located in heat treatment chamber and electrically insulated from housing. One electrode is mounted for rotation by means of electric motor. Working electrodes are located at spark discharge gap relative to each other. Discharge element is mounted for performing translational motion to spark discharge gap through utilization object supply seat. Used as discharge element is syringe needle which is simultaneously a utilization object. EFFECT: increased productivity; low cost; enhanced ecological safety. 3 cl, 3 dwg
