FIELD: materials handling facilities; conveyer transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wire conveyor belt and method of its manufacture. Proposed wire conveyor belt contains double flat spirals arranged across longitudinal axis of conveyor belt in parallel to each other with alternating left-hand and right-hand helix which are hinge connected by U-shaped cross rods with different length of legs, end of longer leg being secured on shorter leg of preceding U-shaped cross rod. Extreme coils of spirals are secured on legs of U-shaped cross rods. Belt is provided with sides along longitudinal edges of belt alternating through links and formed by bending closed side of U-shaped cross rods along one longitudinal edge and triple bending of longer leg of U-shaped rods along second longitudinal edge. Method of making of wire conveyor belt includes subsequent laying of flat double spirals across longitudinal axis of belt by alternating spirals of right-hand and left-hand helix and simultaneously connecting three double spirals by U-shaped cross rod with legs differing in length which are driven into clearance formed by joined spirals. Joints of spirals and U-shaped cross rods are arranged at joint-to-joint distances equal to half the pitch of spiral helix. When assembling the belt, sides are formed along longitudinal edges alternating through belt link: closed side of U-shaped cross rod is bent along one longitudinal edge of belt, and along second longitudinal edge of belt, longer leg of U-shaped cross rod is triple-bent towards shorter leg of preceding U-shaped cross rod and is secured on shorter leg be welding. Labour input in manufacture of belt is reduced. EFFECT: improved reliability in operation, enlarged operating capabilities. 6 cl, 11 dwg
