FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities; transportation of workpieces at thermal treatment in high temperature media. SUBSTANCE: conveyor belt has links arranged across longitudinal axis of conveyor belt in parallel to each other and made in form of flat twin spirals with alternating right-hand and left hand sense of helix which are hinge-connected by cross rods. Each cross rod of belt has U-shaped form with end of one of legs bent to secure on foregoing rod. Method of manufacture of wire belt includes tandem laying of flat spirals with alternating left-hand and right-hand hand of helix across longitudinal axis of belt and connecting the spirals by cross rods which are driven into clearance formed by mated spirals and subsequent bending of rod leg. When assembling conveyor belt, three twin spirals are connected simultaneously by rods with different length legs, longer leg of U-shaped rod is bent and is secured on shorter end of foregoing rod on which ball is welded. EFFECT: reduced labour input in manufacture, increased strength of belt and its service life and enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 3 dwg
