FIELD: molecular biology, medicinal microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method of detection of resistance of mycobacteria to rifampicin and its analogues allows to identify all species of mycobacteria simultaneously. Method is based on investigation of mycobacterium DNA with one of probes based on gene rpoB (data about nucleotide sequences are given in the description text) followed by detection of hybrids. Probes and sets of primers are developed for the method realization. Diagnostic composition for detection of resistance of mycobacteria to rifampicin and for diagnosis of tuberculosis and leprosy is developed also. The use of invention ensures to unify the method, carry out early diagnosis of diseases and accelerate detection of resistance to tuberculostatic drugs that is essential for treatment and optimal controlling epidemic bursts. Invention can be used for diagnosis of diseases induced by mycobacteria and for treatment of these diseases using antibiotics.
