SUBSTANCE: elastomers can be synthesized by (co)polymerization of monomers from the olefin group with 2-8 carbon atoms, diolefins with 4-15 carbon atoms and other monomers in solid phase, in solution and in suspension or gaseous phase also. Metallocenes or π-complex compounds are used as catalysts of the formula (I) or (XIII) where CpI and CpII represent carbanions with cyclopentadienyl-containing structure; πI and πII represent charged or electrically neutral π-systems; Δ + D represents donor atom and Δ + A acceptor atom being D and A are bound by reversible coordination linkage so that donor group accepts (partial) positive charge and acceptor group accepts (partial) negative charge; M represents transient metal of III, IV, V or VI by-side group of periodic systems of elements including lanthanides and actinides; X represents anion equivalent and n = 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending on the M charge.
