FIELD: manufacture of nonwoven filtering materials. SUBSTANCE: nonwoven material comprises fibrous fabric of anion-exchange modified polyamide filament based on grafted copolymer of polycaproamide and polydimethylaminoethyl methacrylate and anion-exchange modified polyamide filament based on grafted copolymer of polycaproamide and polydiethylamine ethylmethacrylate secured by loops formed of fabric filaments. Nonwoven material further comprises cation-exchange modified polyamide filament based on phosphorylated grafted copolymer of polycaproamide with polyglycidyl methacrylate, with amount thereof in material being equal to 40-60 wt%. Content of anion-exchange modified polyamide filament based on grafted copolymer of polycaproamide and polydiethylaminoethyl methacrylate is 20-30 wt%. Nonwoven material is used for manufacture of filtering members for gas trapping units. EFFECT: improved protective characteristics of material with respect to alkaline and acidic gases due to increased static capacity and increased total moisture content of material. 1 tbl
