FIELD: mechanical engineering; cooling systems of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed radiator contains thermoelectric device made in form of thermoelectric modules consisting of different diameter tubes nest one into the other, with rectangular plates connected by opposite ribs placed in between. Cooling junctions of rectangular plates are in thermal contact with smaller tube, and heating junctions, in thermal contact with larger tube. Smaller tube is in mechanical and thermal contact with radiator cooling pipe. Proposed multi-function thermoelectric device is made for generation of electric energy after starting automobile engine and after its shutting down, and for preliminary heating of cooling liquid before starting and intensification of cooling the liquid when engine operates under load at high ambient temperatures. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities of device at reduced overall dimensions. 2 cl, 2 dwg
