FIELD: gene engineering. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with methods for animal cloning. The present method to obtain cloned tigers deals with obtaining the lines of tiger's donor somatic cells, isolation of oocytes out of either cow's or female cat's ovaries and their maturation in vitro. Then cumulus cells and surrounding oocytes should be removed to obtain enucleated recipient oocytes. Then one should transfer nucleus of donor cells into recipient oocyte with subsequent electrofusion and activation of electrofused cells that leads to obtain an embryo. Then obtained embryos should be postactivated and cultured in vitro. Slightly grown embryos should be transferred into mother surrogate followed by obtaining cloned tigers. The present innovation is applied for keeping population of tigers and in saving other species being under the threat of dying off. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 12 cl, 4 dwg, 12 tbl
