FIELD: radio engineering, detection of radio emission sources installed without authorization in limited space. SUBSTANCE: method includes simultaneous reception of signals in pair of points in area of which two, as minimum, are located within the limits and two outside of limits of monitored zone. Synchronous processing of signal pairs by Fourier transform, coherent accumulation of spectral components belonging to one signal simultaneously received in pairs of points located within limits of monitored zone and in pairs of points some of which are within the limits and others are outside of limits of monitored zone are conducted. Decision on availability of radio emission source within limits of monitored zone is made if first coherently accumulated sum of spectral components exceeds one of two others. Device for realization of method has at least four antennas, antenna switch, double-channel receiver, analog-to-digital converter, Fourier transform unit, three on-line storages, two threshold units, multiplier of complex numbers, accumulating adder of complex numbers, functional converter of type calculator of mean values, unit of comparators, former of spectral components of detected signals, indicator, control unit.
