FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in systems of locating of radio-frequency sources. Said result is achieved by receiving radio signal with help of three identical axisymmetric antennae which form equidistant ring antenna array, measured phase differences and amplitude difference signals received by pairs of antennae, amplitudes of signals received by antennas, and phase differences between difference signals, using which estimate azimuth and parameters of reliability of results of direction finding of RFS, then RFS elevation angle is estimated using obtained phase differences between difference signals. Additionally mean value of amplitudes of signals received by selected pair of antennae, and RFS elevation is additionally estimated using obtained difference signals amplitudes received by pairs of antennae, and average value of amplitudes of signals received by selected pair of antennae. Radio direction finder implementing method has three antennae, three radio receiving units, three phase difference measurement units, three difference signals generation units, calculators coefficient unambiguity of direction finding, noise threshold interference signal quadrature component coefficient, error estimation of azimuth and azimuthal threshold units, single-valued factor of amplitude values of difference signals, determining phase difference between difference signals and determining the azimuth, amplitude and phase calculators of azimuth, a comparator and control signal generator, as well as a unit for generating coefficients of uneven amplitude directional pattern of antennae, calculation parameters sensor and elevation angle calculator, to additional estimation of RFS elevation angle using amplitude difference signals received by pairs of antennae, and average value of amplitudes of signals received by selected pair of antennae.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in accuracy of direction-finding by elevation angle in circular azimuth sector.
